Scheduling for 2022-2023 is now live!
The scheduling portal is now open for students to enter their course requests for next year. Students have until Friday, February 11, to get everything entered. As a reminder, this is not a first-come-first-serve situation; we will start scheduling after all requests are entered. Helpful documents were shared in the students' classroom presentations, and they are all linked below for your reference.
Students should follow these scheduling process steps:
- Review Course Description Guide and Program of Study Chart.
- Consult teachers, parents, and counselors.
- Log in to Tyler SIS using this link and click on the "Student" tab. Use the Google single sign-on.
- Once you log in, there will be a banner in yellow that says "Course requests may now be entered;" click on "View."
- Click "Add requests" (lower right corner).
- Drop down to "Subject selection list" and click "Next."
- Using your appropriate grade level worksheet as a guide, select the appropriate courses for 22-23. Courses are grouped by department; simply check the box for the course you want to select and continue until all of your courses are checked. You will have six total credits requested. Note that Religion is not listed for you to select; the appropriate Religion class will be scheduled for you. You do not need to request it.
- After checking all boxes, click "Next" (lower right corner).
- Review the list and click "Save" (lower right corner).
- You will get a "Data successfully saved" message (lower right corner).
- Complete the Alternate Course Request Form. In the case of a schedule conflict for your original elective requests, we will use this form to fill a gap with something else you'd like, rather than us picking for you.
If you have technical issues, see the Tech Department. Let your counselor know if you have any questions or issues with the course selection process.

CRU Bid & Bash

The 2022 Cru Bid & Bash is going virtual again this year! This annual auction is our school's longest-running fundraiser (can you believe this will be our school's 23rd annual auction event?). We are always humbled by the support we garner from parents, alumni, and community members alike.
While the actual date of the virtual event is Saturday, February 19, the fun started early with our "Buffalo Trace Bourbon Basket" kick-off raffle last November and XBox Raffle last December. That was just the tip of the iceberg…or items…up for grabs this year. Our committee is gearing up to share the rest of their amazing "Best of Live" Raffle and Silent Auction items with you over the coming weeks, items such as:
- A Red River Gorge Getaway & Kayak Adventure for up to 8 people
- A Pro Sports Fan Experience (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, or PGA) for 2 people
- An Irrigation and Lighting Package from Expert Irrigation
- Mixology Lessons + Bonefish Grill Package for up to 10 people
- Designer Purses, Reserved Parking Spots, Lottery Ticket Basket, Alcohol Basket, SHDHS Custom Cornhole Set, and much, much more!

Donations for Cru Bid & Bash
We are still accepting donations for the Bid & Bash - particularly gift cards or cash. Please click here for the complete list of gift cards our committee is currently soliciting. If you are looking for a way to help with this year's event (that doesn't involve giving up any of your limited time), a gift card or cash donation may be for you! Donations can be dropped off in the school office anytime between now and Monday, February 7 (please mark to the attention "Bid & Bash").

The Esports spring season, February 21 through April 15, with an extra two weeks for playoffs, is about to kick off at SHDHS. The team is open to 8th graders! We are currently offering three game titles: Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, and
Splatoon 2.
SHDHS is proud to offer Esports as an officially sanctioned KHSAA sport in both the fall and spring seasons. We compete against other Kentucky high schools via PlayVS in the regular season and state tournament. Since the KHSAA added Esports in 2018, St. Henry has qualified for playoffs each season, bringing home a State Runners-up and three State Semifinalist trophies. We are hoping to add to our growing collection!
All games are played on-site in our Computer Lab with computers designed for gaming. All games are played at 4:30 pm on their designated days: Splatoon 2 on Tuesday, Super Smash Bros on Wednesday, and Rocket League on Thursday.
Any 8th grader interested in playing Esports for St. Henry this season should contact Mr. Zack Zvosecz (zzvosecz@shdhs.org) by Friday, February 11.

Campus Ministry
Hannah Neils, Maria Brockman, Meredith Kappes, Ainsley Potter, Sophie Rodino, Tess Parks, Carson Gould
The Catholic School Week theme for this past Monday was "Service." Each grade level began its discussion on its service-learning theme in the classroom. Students were also encouraged to consider volunteering for upcoming service opportunities. At flex time, the student body gathered together to kick off a shoes/clothing drive for the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky and listen to speaker Kim Webb share about her work at the Emergency Shelter.
Though St. Henry District High School strives to develop servant-leaders who do not seek their glory, it is still good to recognize the effort students put forth to serve the community. The records-to-date for this school year indicate that St. Henry students have performed 3,490 hours * of community service - an average of roughly 7.75 hours per student. Of those hours, most have been contributed by the Junior class (way to go, Juniors!). Finally, individual students were also recognized during the assembly. The students who have performed the most hours of service so far this year are Meredith Kappes (Jr), Tess Parks (Jr), Ainsley Potter (Fr), Hannah Neils (Sr), and Carson Gould (So). Maria Brockman (Sr) and Sophie Rodino (Jr) have also cracked the Top 5 in terms of students who have completed the most Red Hours (time spent serving the poor, vulnerable, etc.).
"Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which He looks with compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which He walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world." St. Teresa of Avila
* Data reflects only the verified hours, with numerous service logs yet to be processed.
Grandparent Masses
Please invite grandparents (or grandparent figures) to the annual grandparent Mass(es)! Each grade level will celebrate Mass in the auditorium. Grandparents will be seated at 10:00 am, Mass starts at 10:15 am followed by a light refreshment/reception.
- Freshman - Feb 10
- Sophomore - Feb 25
- Junior - March 10
- Senior - March 31
Please RSVP here.
Service Reminder
Students must log service hours on MobileServe the month in which they are completed. Students are required to complete at least five red service hours (with non-profit agencies) by April 29. Several organized group projects will be made available in February and March.

Crusaders of the Week

Mrs. Ryan is excited to nominate Alivia Skidmore for Crusader of the Week! Alivia is a kind, organized, conscientious student and always stays focused during class. Not only does she complete her own assignments, but she also is the first to help another classmate when needed. Mrs. Reding agrees, saying that “Alivia is awesome in Geometry and her work ethic is second to none! Alivia always comes to class prepared and serves as an excellent role model for her peers.” Mrs. Coronado adds that “Alivia has excelled in Spanish class, and even though she is a little shy, she always responds in class and shows interest and respect as well. Plus, she has the biggest heart!” Congratulations, Alivia, and keep up the great work!
Mr. Z would like to nominate Emma Fischer as Crusader of the Week for Religion II. Emma contributes to class discussions (and even class tangents) with insightful questions and responses. Additionally, Emma writes very thoughtful reflections on written assignments. Well done, Emma, and keep up the good work!
Mr. Faust nominates sophomore Camryn Reymond as Crusader of the week for Principles of Business. Camryn is a hard-working student. She demonstrates a diligent work ethic, is always prepared for class, and has a positive attitude in and outside of the classroom. Camryn is willing to help her classmates and is always asking questions to make sure she understands the content. Congratulations Camryn!
