Information from the Front Office
Reporting Tardy and Absence
We have a 24-hour message system for parents to report tardy or absent students. Please call the main office anytime, day or night, at 859-525-0255, press zero (0), and follow the instructions.
Absentee Notes Required
Upon returning from an absence period (either whole or half-day), a student is responsible for bringing a note from their parents or guardian. A note is required even if parents pick up their child or talk to the office by phone. This note must include the following information:
- Date the note was written;
- Student’s first and last name;
- Date of the absence;
- The specific reason for the absence;
- Signature of parent/guardian.
Please email this information to the front-office@shdhs.org or deliver a printed copy to the front office.
Senior Portrait Information for the Class of 2023
Class of 2023, formal senior pictures will be taken by Jostens during the Spring at Saint Henry District High School. The date is yet to be determined. Students and parents will be informed of the date and expected to bring formal attire to school for the pictures on the determined date. Jostens will also offer a backup date for any senior student that may not be present. These pictures will be used for yearbook and graduation ceremonies by SHDHS. Parents will be able to purchase these pictures, also.
If you have any questions, please contact Polyana Seguim at pseguim@shdhs.org for more information.
SHDHS Communication
If you feel like you missed an email from the school, you can go to the bottom of every newsletter, and under Quick Links, you will find a link to previous communications. If you do discover an issue with not receiving emails, please contact the Technology Department at tech@shdhs.org.

Buddy Walk September 10, 2022

CRUSADERS,
Please join us, if you can, at the BUDDY WALK 2022! The BUDDY WALK benefits the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, whose mission is to “celebrate the extraordinary lives of people with Down syndrome and raise much-needed funds to provide programs, support, resources, outreach, and advocacy” for those in our community with Down syndrome and their families.
The WALK consists of a pre-party that begins at 9:00 am. The WALK is more like a “stroll” starting at 10:00 am, around Sawyer Point Park and Yeatman’s Cove. As you walk, you will enjoy plenty of entertainment, music, and fun! When you are finished, the after-party includes free food and drinks!
To register — and everything is free — just go to DSAGC.donordrive.com and scroll down to click on the “Join a Team” button. The team to join, of course, is JENNA’S HAILSTORM!
All the details of the day can be found there as well. If you register in time for a t-shirt, I will deliver them to school on September 8th.
This event is not to be missed! You will leave with a smile on your face, like the more than 10,000 people this event draws annually!
Hope to see you there!
Missy and Luke Hail

Campus Ministry

This week we had the delight to attend an all school club assembly which introduced Campus Ministry Club and Liturgical Team. Campus Ministry offers students a chance to join flex prayer groups, (soft) pretzel and praise, group service events, weekly confession and adoration, lectoring, altar serving, mass set-up, and hospitality crew. I highly encourage you to chat with your student(s) and have them consider joining Campus Ministry Club. This club will help them grow in relationship with Jesus, create fellowship and community, and be fully and authentically the person they were made to be!
If your student is interested in joining Campus Ministry, please email Annie Poat at anniepoat@shdhs.org or have your student stop by the Campus Ministry Office to speak directly to Annie.

Citizenship Award

The Crusader Band recognizes students every month with a Special Citizenship Award. Selection is based on the precepts of the Crusader Band Pledge (reverence, good character, commitment, and excellence) and the fruit of the Spirit as listed in the 5th chapter of Galatians (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control). Students recognized for this month's Special Citizenship Award are Jenna Hail (Cadet Band) and Emilia Arias (Crusader Band). Both of these students have demonstrated outstanding character and commitment. Congratulations.
