Crusaders of the Week
Mr. Trame nominates Freshman Zachary Cline as Physical Education's Crusader of the Week. "Freshman Zachary Cline is the epitome of a successful, engaged, committed PE student. Daily, Zachary demonstrates the characteristics of a successful and productive student. When I'm teaching, Zachary hangs on every word I say. In our PE Activities, Zachary listens intently, follows all rules, respects the game, and gives his best effort. Zachary is not only willing but eager to help with equipment as well as help other students. He exemplifies our core values of CRU Faith, CRU Respect, and CRU Grit. Congratulations to Zachary Cline, Crusader of the Week!!!" Mr. Denning nominates Junior Kiki Unkraut as Computer Science Honors' Crusader of the Week." "Kiki has been a stand-out since starting programming, quickly grasping how to approach problems and create working code. When working alone, she pays close attention to examples and practices problems to fully understand what is possible. In group work, she uses what she has learned to help build interesting programs, being particularly skilled at debugging. In class discussions, Kiki answers promptly, even when unsure, and can explain her thinking, which helps everyone in the room. Overall, her clear-headedness and even temperament make her a tremendous asset to the class, and Mr. Denning is grateful to have the opportunity to work with her." |

Advancement DepartmentHELP NEEDED! SHADOW VISITS / FAMILY TOURS Family Tours are an excellent way for families to walk the school and have those one-on-one conversations with the principal. The family tours are typically after the regular school day has ended. They usually last about an hour and a half. Families can schedule a tour of SHDHS. OPEN HOUSE |

Athletic NewsFRESHMAN BOYS' BASKETBALL Anyone wishing to try out for the Freshman Boys' Basketball Team that is NOT involved in a fall sport, open gyms are on Saturday, October 7th, and Saturday, October 14th, from 9:45 am - 11:00 am at the high school. Swim & Dive Athlete/Parent Meeting Information session: October 9th at 7 pm in the St. Henry High School Cafeteria. This meeting is open to all 7-12 males and females. SHDHS partners with Charles Johnson, owner of D1 Training Northern Kentucky and former NFL wide receiver, to deliver elite-level football weightlifting and agility training for the Cru's 2024 first-ever JV Football Team. If you are an 8-11 grader who attends or plans on attending SHDHS, we start training next week, Oct 1st. Only $60/M - 3 days a week after school. Details and signup here

Campus Ministry News
Thomas More Campus Ministry Open House Thursday, October 25, 6–8 pm The Campus Ministry Open House is designed for prospective high school students to come onto Thomas More's campus and hear about how the Campus Ministry department at TMU works to engage them in their spiritual lives during their time at Thomas More. They will hear from the Director of Campus Ministry, the Dean of Enrollment, and students on the Campus Ministry leadership team. We will also include information about our Bishop Foys Ministry and Service Scholarship, a program designed for Catholic students to cultivate their leadership in ministry and service to the Thomas More community. Then, we'll have an informal time where students and their parents/guardians can speak about Thomas More and Campus Ministry with staff and students. Grandparent Masses Please invite grandparents (or grandparent figures) to the annual grandparent Mass(es)! Each grade level will celebrate Mass in the auditorium. Dear Crusader Family & Friends, This year, SHDHS is excited to host our guest speaker: City of Erlanger Mayor – Jessica Fette. We thank Mrs. Fette for her time and generosity in addressing our school family. To make this event a success, we would like to have the names of veterans who would like to attend this celebration. A veteran is any military personnel who has or is currently serving our country in any Armed Forces branch.
