In an exciting collaboration, 8th graders from our six feeder schools recently embarked on a co-educational journey to St. Henry District High School - CRU Preview Day.
This enlightening visit allowed 8th-grade students to explore the vibrant high school environment, engage with passionate teachers, and envision their future academic endeavors. Immersed in a day of discovery, they experienced firsthand the rich tapestry of opportunities awaiting them in high school.
We are immensely proud of our student ambassadors for their enthusiastic participation and grateful to St. Henry District High School teachers who helped with this event. Together, we nurture bright futures!

Crusaders of the Week
Ms. Shea and Ms. Ryan nominate Freshman Bella O'Neill as AAIMS 1's Crusader of the Week.
"Mrs. Shea and Mrs. Ryan are thrilled to nominate Bella O'Neill. Bella shares her smile and kind spirit each day with her teachers and classmates and models what it means to be a responsible and detail-oriented student. Bella has made a seamless transition to high school, as she completes her work on time and is always able and willing to help her classmates when they are unsure of an assignment. SHADOW VISITS / FAMILY TOURS
Experience a day in the life of a St. Henry District High School student. Prospective 7th or 8th-grade students or transfer students can register to spend a school day on the SHDHS campus, attend classes, eat lunch, speak with teachers, and visit with other students. There is something for everyone at SHDHS! Spaces are limited.
Shadow Visit Registration
Family Tours are an excellent way for families to walk the school and have those one-on-one conversations with the principal. The family tours are typically after the regular school day has ended. They usually last about an hour and a half. Families can schedule a tour of SHDHS.

FEC News
BINGO COORDINATOR NEEDED FOR 12/30 BINGO
The FEC is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to work with Bingo Lead Dan Hukle for our upcoming Bingo fundraiser on Sat 12/30, starting at 11 am. Responsibilities include helping recruit volunteers, getting Gift Cards for the regular Bingo Workers/Leads, coordinating food for the volunteers, and being a runner at the Bingo to fill in as needed. CRU BASH KICK-OFF MEETING
Our Cru Bash kick-off planning meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 10/17, at 6:30 pm in the media center. We want to add more to this event and would love new ideas, new leaders, and lots of help! We will discuss refreshments, VIP tables, decorations, games/raffles, silent auction, entertainment, marketing/ticketing/promotion, and more! The date for the CRU BASH is Sat. March 16th. All are welcome!

1st Annual SHDHS Golf Outing Wrap-up
SHDHS partners with Charles Johnson, owner of D1 Training Northern Kentucky and former NFL wide receiver, to deliver elite-level football weightlifting and agility training for the Cru's 2024 first-ever JV Football Team. If you are an 8-11 grader who attends or plans on attending SHDHS, we start training next week, Oct 1st. Only $60/M - 3 days a week after school. Details and signup here

Thomas More Campus Ministry Open House
Thursday, October 25, 6–8 pm
The Campus Ministry Open House is designed for prospective high school students to come onto Thomas More's campus and hear about how the Campus Ministry department at TMU works to engage them in their spiritual lives during their time at Thomas More.
They will hear from the Director of Campus Ministry, the Dean of Enrollment, and students on the Campus Ministry leadership team. We will also include information about our Bishop Foys Ministry and Service Scholarship, a program designed for Catholic students to cultivate their leadership in ministry and service to the Thomas More community. Then, we'll have an informal time where students and their parents/guardians can speak about Thomas More and Campus Ministry with staff and students.

Grandparent Masses
Please invite grandparents (or grandparent figures) to the annual grandparent Mass(es)! Each grade level will celebrate Mass in the auditorium. Grandparents will be seated at 9:45 am, and Mass starts at 10 am, followed by a light refreshment/reception.

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy offers virtual admissions Q&A sessions for students interested in attending the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), one of the five federal service academies that include West Point, Annapolis, Air Force, and Coast Guard academies. Like all federal service academies, students receive full tuition, room and board, and books at no cost.

Time: 3 p.m. ET
Who: All interested students and parents
What: Virtual question and answer session.

CALLING ALL SHDHS ALUMNI ARTISTS!!
St. Henry District High School is honored to invite all alums to participate in our 3rd annual Alumni Art Show. Last year's show had various classes represented, including 1943 and 1964! Let's have YOU be the artist representing your class this year! Artists may submit up to 3 pieces of ANY media, including 3D and digital. All 2D pieces must be framed OR matted for hanging. Size restrictions are 32x40 or smaller. You may submit artwork at the SHDHS school office between 8 am and 3 pm before October 25.
The show will run November 3 and 4 from 5–7 pm with our Fall Play "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" performing directly after, so please join us for that event as well!

SHDHS Theater proudly announces the fall production: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Hurry to Drees Homes Auditorium to experience the fearful tale of schoolmaster Ichabod Crane and his encounter with the Headless Horseman. One thing is for sure: it will be a ride to remember!
