YARD SIGNS ARE HERE!
If you would like a yard sign to promote the Open House, or if you know someone who does, stop by the Advancement office, or have your student stop by, to pick one up.
GAME DAY DESIGN
Our talented Art Teacher, Katie VonHandorf, created a game day design that the Cincinnati Bengals selected for the game against Buffalo on November 5th. The Bengals share an artist's design for every game on their social media pages. Katie's design was submitted as a sketch to be approved by the Bengals, and then went through various rounds of feedback to adjust the design. This is Katie's first digital piece, and she is excited that she got the opportunity to design something for her favorite team!

Students will not be able to solicit recommendations or acceptance into the G/T program.
The Gifted and Talented Program will meet twice monthly during Flex time. It will provide support, guidance, and extracurricular opportunities for students (speakers, college outreach programs, extracurricular clubs/volunteer opportunities) to enhance their current learning process and hopefully provide additional enthusiasm for learning and growth. Crusaders of the Week
Mr. Faust nominates Sophomore Alaina Fabre for Crusader of the Week for Principles of Business.
"Alaina is a thoughtful and determined student. I am very pleased with the skills she developed so far. She is self-motivated, well-organized, and attentive in class. I am impressed with all of the extracurricular activities that Alaina does outside of school, and she still manages to do very fine work in class. Congratulations Alaina!!"
Mrs. Shea, Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. VonHandorf, Mr. Trame, and Ms. Duff nominate Senior Quinn Padgett for Crusader of the Week for AAIMS 4.
"We are happy to nominate Quinn Padgett for Crusader of the Week. Quinn has exemplified leadership, kindness, and inclusivity in class this year. Each day, Mrs. Ryan observes that Quinn is friendly to each of his classmates, steps up to help underclassmen without hesitation, and demonstrates a true Crusader spirit. Mrs. VonHandorf adds, “I appreciate how engaged Quinn is in class critiques as he adds a lot of knowledgeable insight to our discussions. He has done a fantastic job learning the vocabulary and using it in daily conversations about art with his tablemates. He is kind and friendly to the underclassmen and sets a great example of determination.” Mr. Trame remarks, “Quinn does an outstanding job in Lifetime wellness and Fitness. He is compliant with all requirements, gives full effort on a daily basis, and helps his classmates with instruction and inclusion.” Mrs. Duff agrees: “Quinn does a great job when we do group activities - he's engaged, on-task, and collaborative!” Keep up the good work, Quinn. We are proud of you!"

"People say, 'What is the sense of our small effort?' They cannot see that we must lay one brick at a time, take one step at a time. A pebble cast into a pond causes ripples that spread in all directions. Each one of our thoughts, words and deeds is like that. No one has a right to sit down and feel hopeless. There's too much work to do." - Dorothy Day

Counselors Corner
PreACT 11/16/23 for all 9th and 10th graders
On Thursday, November 16th, all 9th and 10th graders will participate in the PreACT. This will be during the school day; no further registration steps are necessary. Students who receive testing accommodations through an ALP will be provided those accommodations.
PreACT provides you and your child with information to help you select the right high school courses, think about ways to target areas for improvement, and even begin discussions about college and career.
PreACT helps identify:
- How a student is doing with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in college and beyond
- Areas where extra help or additional courses are needed
- Career possibilities that match the student’s interests
Your son or daughter also may choose to have their information shared with colleges and scholarship agencies when they take PreACT, which can help them get discovered for
college recruitment and scholarship possibilities.
