Congratulations to the cast and crew of "Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka"! They put on a great show last weekend. Thank you to all family members and friends who attended to support these students.
The senior team of Ryan Hartman, John Lubert, and Gabe Thelen has merited entry into the inaugural Kentucky Personal Finance State Challenge. Two weeks ago, the Cru-Savers took a 30-question test and placed in the top four teams in the state! On April 5, they will attend the tournament and create a plan for a hypothetical family experiencing a financial crisis. Congratulations, Cru-Savers!

CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
Mr. Wyatt nominates Senior Andrew Rohling for Crusader of the Week for Advanced Band.
"Andrew works hard to be prepared for rehearsals and to play his part(s) correctly. He is confident in asking questions or for clarification when necessary. Daily, he is 100% engaged and helpful to everyone around him. He is an asset to the band and a gift to the Crusader family. Congratulations, Andrew!"
Ms. Cruz nominates Sophomore Emma Clineman for Crusader of the Week for ASL 1.
"I have nominated Emma because she is a tireless worker! Almost every day since rehearsals started for Willy Wonka, Emma would sit in my room during Flex and work on show notes and stage manager tasks. It truly all paid off, as the show was wonderful last weekend. She works on our theater productions, studies diligently for all her classes, and strives to do her best daily. I also see her being kind, supportive, and helpful in every area of her life. She is always there if students need help in ASL or someone to listen. Keep up the good work, Emma!"

CAREER EXPLORATION PROCESS
Student and Parents:
Students can take free career assessments in April and register for optional Flex sessions to discuss their results. Online career assessments are for career exploration purposes only, and the results are not definitive. We will also provide links to the career assessments in the weekly parent newsletter and encourage parents to take them. This is an excellent opportunity for students and parents to discuss post-secondary options and future career opportunities.
Assessment featured this week: O*NET Interest Profiler: The O*NET Interest Profiler (IP) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor. The IP is a free family of self-assessment career exploration tools that can help individuals discover the type of work activities and occupations they would like and find exciting. The IP can be self-administered and self-interpreted, and the results can be directly linked to over 900 occupations in the O*NET Online database. The completion time for the IP is approximately 20 minutes.

Classroom Showcase/Club News
ASL 1
In ASL 1, we learn many new skills that challenge our visual and spatial skills both physically and mentally! One of the best ways to practice using the space around us and seeing if we can understand what is being signed is by using a skill called Drawing in the Air. As we prepared for Spring Break, ASL 1 challenged themselves to a game of Deaf Pictionary, where students were paired up and given an image to describe to their partner with only their two index fingers. We laughed and learned many new techniques to get our point across! The kids did an excellent job and had a lot of fun!
