CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Hasken nominates Junior Allison Torres-Guzman for Crusader of the Week for AP Spanish Language and Culture. "This year, all of the students in AP Spanish Language have shined in different areas throughout the year. However, I would like to nominate Ally Torres for Crusader of the Week for her sustained effort and participation throughout the year. Ally brings a positive attitude to class every day; she works hard to improve her knowledge and delve deeper into the material. She is quick to volunteer to participate and help her classmates. Felicidades!" "Sarah Poat has been an excellent addition to our Chamber Choir. She is not only a knowledgeable musician but a great participant in class. Sarah does her best to keep the ensemble on track and motivates her classmates to take the music seriously. Sarah has made tremendous strides towards not only her musicianship but her love for the craft. She is a great student, and I look forward to seeing her thrive in adulthood!" |

Counselors Corner2024 Summer College Bus Tour The St. Henry District High School Counseling Department is close to finalizing the details for the 2024 Summer College Bus Tour! We hope to have everything confirmed with each of the universities by the middle of next week. The information about the Bus Tour will go out in a separate email and in next week's parent newsletter. The IP is a free family of self-assessment career exploration tools that can help individuals discover the type of work activities and occupations they would like and find exciting. The IP can be self-administered and self-interpreted, and the results can be directly linked to over 900 occupations in the O*NET Online database. Classroom Showcase/Club NewsA NIGHT WITH MATT "THE HAMMER" HAMILL
Recently Xavier University hosted "A Night with Matt "The Hammer" Hamill" for ASL learners and UFC fans! Matt Hamill is a champion UFC fighter and long-time wrestler, and also Deaf! He is from Loveland, Ohio, and came back out to his home state to share his life story and encourage all ASL learners from beginners to experienced users to keep on fighting and never give up on their goals. Two of our SHDHS ASL 1 students and their families came out to their very first Deaf event! Everyone had a great time and did such a great job. Our students even got to practice their newly developed skills with Ms. Cruz's friend who is deaf. 2023-2024 YEARBOOKS FOR SALE
Middle and high school students from the tri-state area will descend upon St. Henry District High School on Saturday, November 9, for the 2024-2025 VEX Robotics Competition game “High Stakes” presented by the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation and hosted by the SHDHS Crubotics Club. Forty teams will come together for a non-stop, action-packed day of competition where they will battle against each other with robots they designed, built, and programmed.
