Students gathered last Friday night for the annual Friendship Dance. This was a great way for students to reconnect with friends and make some new ones. DJ JayKay kept the event hopping while students had the option to play games on the practice field.
On Monday in Cru 101, students did "Take Off Touchdown" and "People Hunt" activities to get to know their classmates. Students also went on a hunt to find the author of their Welcome Notes and took selfies with their Chromebooks. The freshman are using their resources and meeting teachers and new friends!
As a conclusion to the first unit of Computer Science Honors, students used their new knowledge and abilities to create fanciful solar systems. Instead of planets, they added round-ish objects such as pizzas and tires to their canvas, along with creating stellar backgrounds and various satellites. Next is animating objects when a user clicks on the canvas. FRONT OFFICE
We welcome all parents to “Meet the Teacher Night” at SHDHS on September 5th at 6:00 PM. We are thrilled to have you on campus to meet your child’s teachers. During this evening, you will have the chance to visit each teacher’s classroom and learn about the curriculum and expectations of each class. Please have your student share their schedule with you. We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday night. Your support is crucial in creating a faith-filled and engaging learning environment.

MINUTE MEETINGS WITH MS. CRADDOCK Ms. Craddock has been conducting "Minute Meetings" with the freshmen class since the first week of school. These meetings are quick one-minute-long meetings to get to know the students she will be working with this school year. Ms. Craddock has officially met with every single freshman at SHDHS, and she is so excited to continue to get to know this freshmen class as the year goes on!
