SHDHS had six talented art students selected for the Thomas More University juried art show. Out of hundreds of submissions, Abigail Arrasmith, Jackie Fernandez, Sarah Littrell, Magdalene Jump, Lucy Bolton, and Reese Rigsby had their artwork selected for the competition. Senior Sarah Littrell received a scholarship, and Junior Abigail Arrasmith won "Director's Choice." The show will be in TMU's gallery until October 30th for anyone hoping to see the collection.
CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
Mr. Faust nominates Freshman Emmanuel Addison for Crusader of the Week for Principles of Business.
"You would never know Addison is a freshman. From day one, he has come prepared for class, participates in class discussions, and has a good work ethic. Besides his academic achievement, he brings an excellent attitude every day. Congratulations, Addison!"
Mrs. Heinrich nominates Freshman Kenadi Sieg for Crusader of the Week for Religion 1.
"Kenadi has been an exemplary student in all aspects of our class. She has championed herself as being a hard worker and is a stellar performer in all academic aspects. I am proud to have Kenadi as a student, and she has made teaching our faith even more rewarding."
Mrs. Shea, Mrs. Thelen, and Mrs. Ryan nominate Freshman Brady Burkhardt as Crusader of the Week for AAIMS.
" Not only has Brady demonstrated discipline and responsibility for his academic success thus far, but he has also committed himself to balancing the beginning of his high school career with a rigorous football schedule. Brady comes to class each day prepared and ready to work. He is respectful to his teachers and open to suggestions for improvement or help. Most importantly, Brady’s energy, enthusiasm, and honesty ensure that we always have a “Fun Friday.” We are proud of you, Brady. Keep up the good work!"

On Monday, November 11th, Saint Henry District High School will honor our local military veterans for Veterans Day 2024. This is an invitation to veterans who are family members or friends of our students and staff. Our celebration will start at 1:45 in the auditorium. This year, SHDHS is excited to host our guest speaker: Diocese Superintendent of Schools Kendra McGuire.
To make this event a success, we need the names of veterans who would like to attend this celebration. A veteran is any military personnel who has or is currently serving our country in any Armed Forces branch.
St. Henry District High School is very excited about this event as our students wish to acknowledge the devotion and sacrifice our men and women have given to our country.
Please contact Mr. Wyatt ([email protected]) to make a reservation using the following information: Name of Veteran – Branch of the Military – Years of Service & Student Contact at SHDHS.
