Brady Aubuchon and Evan Parhad have been named to the Regional Youth Leadership Class of 2025. Modeled after Leadership Northern Kentucky, Regional Youth Leadership (RYL) is a community leadership development program for high school juniors in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The 7-month program is a series of sessions held monthly during the school day from September through March, focusing on different topics that inform and strengthen student awareness of the opportunities that exist in our region.
How students benefit:
- Opportunity to network with students, organizations, and business and community leaders from across the region
- Learn about our region in a unique and experiential manner that results in a newfound appreciation for what makes our region unique
- Career exploration
Congratulations to our newest Artists of the Week! For Art 1 Freshmen Brooke Pagnatto, Cecilia Washnock, Samuel Haubner, and Lydia Soard. Sophomores Connor List, Mady Lux, and Alexis Fassbender.
On November 9, SHDHS hosted the Inaugural Crusader Crush - V5RC Tournament for VEX Robotics, a state-qualifying event. Twenty-seven middle school and high school teams competed. The competition consisted of multiple two-minute matches. During the first 15 seconds of each match, the robots operated autonomously without any human interference. In the remaining one minute and 45 seconds, the robots were manually controlled by their operators.
SHDHS had two robots competing: "Fabio" and "Dumpster Fire". Team Fabio made it to the semi-finals of the competition!
Congratulations to our robotics teams!
CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
Mr. Gish nominates Senior Jason Bish for Crusader of the Week for
Accounting I.
" Jason brings meaningful questions to our class discussions and exhibits critical thinking when analyzing business financials. He is keen on interpreting Accounting theory and is always willing to help other students improve their understanding of accounting concepts. Jason displays a Christian attitude through his kindness and respect for others. It is truly my pleasure to have Jason in my Accounting I class. Congratulations, Jason."
Mrs. Thelen, Mrs. Shea, & Mrs. Ryan nominate Sophomore Bella Webb for Crusader of the Week for AAIMS II.
"Bella reflects a Crusader spirit each day in class; she is always willing to participate in class activities and lessons, and her participation reflects how much she works outside the classroom to reach academic success. Not only is she prepared, but Bella is also helpful to her peers and exudes a calm, friendly, and pleasant demeanor. We have seen Bella grow in confidence and in her willingness to advocate for herself, and we look forward to seeing what lies ahead in her bright future. Congratulations, Bella. Keep shining!"

The Carrie Williams Memorial Foundation was founded in 2022 by Carrie's family, with the mission of assisting students in financial need at local Catholic schools. Education was Carrie's passion, and this was evident in the love she poured into her students. This scholarship helps her passion live on.
