Crusader Parents, Friends, and Alumni:

The Annual SHDHS Golfathon is less than a month away and our Athletic Department is asking for your support.  
 
For those that are new to SHDHS, the Golfathon is the largest Athletic fundraiser of the year. Beginning in mid-September, and running through mid-October, 19 golfers will seek donations to sponsor their play in this annual day of golf on Friday, October 8, at Hickory Sticks Golf Course. This year’s goal of $75,000 will allow us to update current buses or purchase an additional vehicle for the school, update practice facilities, and fund team budgets. 
 
Over the past 11 years, the SHDHS Golfathon has raised more than $600,000.00 to benefit not only our athletes but the school as a whole. These items include:

• In addition, of the rubberized running track and purchase of track equipment,
• Construction of the stadium press box and storage shed facility behind the softball field,
• Renovations and purchase of team equipment for the SHAC,
• Total remodel of the SHDHS weight room,
• Installation of soundboards and acoustic panels in the SHDHS gym,
• Financial support for the creation of the SHDHS Broadcast team,
• Annual scholarships awarded to graduating male and female athletes, and
• Financial support for the Virgin Mary Grotto, the final piece of the “Building on Excellence, Guided by Faith” expansion project.
