on Thursday, April 17 due to construction on Donaldson.
A HUGE congratulations to Junior Abigail Arrasmith for her acceptance into Governor's School for the Arts for Visual Art. She has been selected out of around 1700 Visual Art applicants and will head to UK in the summer for a 3 week art intensive experience that will also allow for multiple scholarship opportunities.
Alternates selected were Kate Quinn, Jack Linnemann, and Riley Clark.

The National Honor Society inducted 24 new members to the St. Thomas Aquinas chapter at St. Henry District High School on April 14. These students merited through their service, character, leadership, and scholarship. They will continue to do exemplary service here at SHDHS and in the community. Congratulations, NHS members!

The AP Human Geography students (AP HuGgers) recently completed their annual Rostow Cup of countries by evaluating countries based on their literacy rates, life expectancies, and GDPs. This is a great way of learning how development is affected by different forms!

The 15th Annual St. Henry Alumni Basketball Tournament took place over the weekend of April 12 at the SHAC.
CRUSADER OF THE WEEK

Ms. Cruz nominates Junior Hazel Hunt for Crusader of the Week for ASL 2.
"What a privilege to have taught Hazel over the last two years in ASL 1 & 2. Not only are her signs clear and precise, but her facial expressions add so much life to her new language skill. She is also encouraging to her peers and helps answer questions in class, and always leaves my room with a "thank you" and "have a good day." She is an excellent example of Cru Grit & Cru Respect. So proud of you, Hazel of the basil variety."
Mrs. Heinrich nominates Freshman Dominic DiBari for Crusader of the Week for Chamber Choir.
"Dominic is an excellent worker and performer. When I heard he was coming to Saint Henry and joining our chamber choir, I was excited to have him as a student. From the day I met him, I knew he would be a bright spot in my classroom. Dominic works to his full potential on every project he is a part of, including his leading role in our spring production. I am excited to see the growth he will show us in the coming years, and I am grateful he said "Yes" to St. Henry."

Dear Cru Families,
As we near the end of the 2024–2025 school year, I’m filled with gratitude for our students, faculty, staff, and families. Each day, we’re blessed to grow in faith and community together.
Beginning next year, we will conclude our daily prayer with “St. Henry, pray for us.” St. Henry, King of Germany and Holy Roman Emperor is known for using his leadership to strengthen the Catholic faith. I ask that you keep our students and staff—especially our seniors—in your prayers as we close out the school year.
This year brought many highlights: retreats, leadership events, state tournaments, field trips, and strong academic success. We celebrated multiple Governor’s Scholars, welcomed 165 new students—our largest class ever—and continued leading the region in AP and AAIMS programs. These accomplishments reflect the commitment of our teachers and the support of you and our families.
Looking ahead to 2025–2026, tuition will increase by 3% and fees by $25. We remain committed to making Catholic education accessible through financial aid, scholarships, and our summer work-study program. For questions, please get in touch with Connie Cornett at ccornett@shdhs.org.
You can view the updated tuition rates here.
Wishing you a restful Spring Break and a joyful Easter season.
Blessings,
Grant Brannen
Principal, St. Henry District High School

For those families that apply and qualify for financial aid, the first round of award notifications will be made on April 30, 2025. ATTENTION JUNIORS!
The SHDHS Counseling and English Departments will be hosting a two-day college application workshop. Also, seniors are not required to attend both days, but we recommend it if possible.
We understand some seniors will be unable to attend due to previously scheduled commitments. If a senior is not able to attend, we will give an overview of the information covered during the workshops the first week of school when the counselors present in English classes and at the Senior Parent Night on Thursday, August 28, 2025. However, seniors who attend the workshop will find it beneficial as it will give them a headstart on the college application process.
Seniors are asked to fill out the Senior College Application and Essay Workshop RSVP form and select which day(s) they wish to attend.
