The following students have been accepted to the Summer 2025 Governor's Scholars Program!
- Mason Dunwoody
- Ian Schneidt
- Brennan Lemmond
- Caden Kunstek
- Evan Parhad
- Paige VonEye

Mr. Patti and Mrs. Aftanski accompanied students: Nate Bessler, Emily Gross, Sophia Hunt, Caden Kunstek, Eileen Michels, Evan Parhad, Maddie Ritchie, and Claire Schild on a nine-day pilgrimage to Italy over Spring Break. The group traveled to Padua, Venice, Florence, Assisi, Rome, and Vatican City, immersing themselves in both cultural and spiritual experiences.
Highlights included attending Easter Mass at the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua, praying at the tombs of St. Francis of Assisi and Blessed Carlo Acutis, riding gondolas through the canals of Venice, and exploring Florence’s renowned Uffizi Gallery. In Rome, they visited iconic landmarks such as the Pantheon, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps. The students also journaled, reflected, deepened their faith, and enjoyed plenty of pizza, pasta, and gelato.
While en route to Burano Island near Venice, the group received the news of the Pope’s passing. Though St. Peter’s Basilica was closed due to the visitation, they were still able to visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Please click here to watch the Fox19 interview with the group.

Our Student Ambassadors play a pivotal role in many of the SHDHS events. They volunteer their time to welcome prospective students, support new and current students, and foster a sense of unity within the school. On April 9, the Advancement Office hosted an Appreciation Lunch to thank them for their hard word and dedication in the 2024-25 school year.

The St. Henry chapter of the Social Studies Honor Society cleaned headstones at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell on Holy Thursday as a way to recognize the sacrifice of Jesus. They prayed for each person and will be researching the people they honored.

In connection with the novel Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys, Mrs. Hartwig’s and Mrs. Ackerman’s 9th-grade English classes participated in a cattle car simulation designed to help them better understand the journey faced by Lithuanian families deported to Siberia during Stalin’s regime. Students were asked to imagine themselves in the cramped, unsanitary conditions of a train car used for mass deportations. Following the activity, students engaged in a reflective exercise, making personal and academic connections to the text.

Please join us in celebrating our Senior Art students at the Senior Show this Sunday, May 4th from 3-5pm in the Wilson Family Art Gallery. Light snacks and refreshments provided. Admission is FREE!!

Brady is well respected by his peers and generous with his time in helping others challenged by the subject matter. It has truly been my pleasure having Brady in Accounting I this year. Congratulations Brady!"
Mrs. Duff nominates Senior Jonah Tally for Crusader of the Week for Honors Precalculus.

Jonah exemplifies quiet leadership in the classroom, arriving each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Whether working independently or in randomly selected groups, Jonah brings patience and resilience to everything he does.
