Crusader Check & Connect
Welcome to Crusader Check and Connect (CCC):
CCC is an extension of our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). This program checks on the well-being of our students through a multi-disciplinary approach. CCC encourages collaboration and allows transparency among teachers, students, parents, counselors, and mentors. The goal of the program is to care for and respond to our student's needs in a proactive approach and take a positive interest in the student.
At-risk students are flagged through a weekly screening process, and mentors are assigned to check on these students in order to increase their involvement in their own education. Mentors take a specific and strategic interest in at-risk students by helping the students to set goals for improvement and by acknowledging positive progress along the way.
We encourage you to use CCC to engage with your student(s) on their weekly progress and dialogue with them about their successes and challenges. It is important to have open communication among all parties involved in your student’s education and to encourage our students to dialogue with their teachers in a professional manner that will teach them to advocate for themselves in the future.
Our Technology Department has developed this application specifically for SHDHS. The CCC team is continuously making improvements to the application. Please be patient as we make these enhancements throughout the year.
For instructions on how to access CCC please click here.
Thank you,
Crusader Check and Connect Team

Respect Life Month
The month of October is designated as Respect Life Month. As Christians, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect those most vulnerable from the beginning to the end of their lives and at every point in between. Respect Life Month is a time for the Christian community to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life, from conception to natural death. The theme this year is "St. Joseph, Defender of Life- Pray for Us."
Our pro-life club, Crusaders for Life, will be sponsoring several events this month. We will be attending the annual Respect Life Mass Tuesday, October 5, at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption at 7:00 pm. All are welcome!
Tuesday, October 5, is also Pro-life T-shirt Day. Students are permitted to wear a shirt with a non-political pro-life message with their uniform pants.
Additional information and resources for Respect Life Month can be found at https://www.respectlife.org/.
St. Joseph, Defender of Life, Pray for Us!
Pray. Hope. Don't Worry.
Students participated in prayer and discussion groups and attended adoration on Wednesday. In preparation for adoration, they reflected on their week and for what they were thankful, their highs and lows of the week, as well as entrusting their worries to the Lord with the following prayer. Saturday is the feast of the Guardian Angels.
Let us pray:
Good and gracious God, we thank you for all the ways that you have blessed us this week. We offer you our highs, our lows, our thoughts, our worries, and our plans. Help us to surrender daily to your will. We entrust our prayer intentions to you. Please grant us assistance from the angels and saints for the needs of students, the school community, homecoming dance (your intentions). Angel of God my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light, to guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

Crusaders of the Week
Mrs. Ryan would like to nominate Jordyn Brockman, AAIMS Crusader of the Week. Jordyn has tackled the first six weeks of high school like a pro, working hard to stay organized and prepared for all of her classes. Jordyn asks great questions in class and is always quick to help a classmate when needed. Jordyn exhibits good study habits and has been open and willing to try new note-taking techniques and study strategies. Mrs. Finke added that Jordyn has an incredible work ethic and is a great advocate for herself. Because of this, Jordyn is a great role model for her classmates. Congratulations, Jordyn!
The Freshman class at St. Henry District High School is filled with saints, and each of them is growing in their faith and becoming prayer warriors! For special recognition, Mrs. Tobergte nominates Ainsley Potter for Crusader of the Week for Religion 1. Ainsley's faith shines in her religion class. Her love of Jesus and knowledge of our Catholic faith is evidenced by her willingness to participate in class discussions and answer questions. Ainsley leads by example- joining vocally in class prayer and courageously lifting up the needs of others in prayer. Her diligence and responsibility as a student are also to be commended. Ainsley’s future as a student will be amazing with her work ethic and self-advocacy skills. More importantly, Ainsley’s faith, both gentle and fierce, will lead her to do great things for the Lord! Congratulations Ainsley!
It is my pleasure to nominate senior Sasha Menzer for Economics Crusader of the Week. Mr. Faust notes that at the beginning of the year I thought Sasha was shy, but as I came to know her I found Sasha to be reserved, competent, and a mature young lady. Her work is outstanding in quality and in-depth. She is well organized and doesn't hesitate to ask questions when the subject is unclear. Congratulations Sasha!
