Meet: Mr. Zach Hertzenberg
Social Studies Teacher
Zach Hertzenberg is beginning his third year of teaching at St. Henry High School, having spent the previous two years at Covington Latin School. He completed his Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Middle and Secondary Social Studies from Northern Kentucky University in December 2024 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Brescia University, where he played baseball.
A native of Northern Kentucky, Mr. Hertzenberg graduated from Bishop Brossart High School. He has a combined eight years of coaching experience in golf, basketball, and baseball at the high school level, along with two years of officiating high school basketball games. Mr. Hertzenberg is passionate about working with young adults, helping them grow both academically and spiritually as they strive to become the best versions of themselves.
Outside of the classroom, he enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends, and watching sports.

Meet: Ms. Heidi Lindsay
AAIMS Teacher
Heidi Lindsay is excited to begin her role as an Intervention Specialist in the AAIMS program at SHDHS this year! With many years of experience in education, she is passionate about working with students to create a positive and engaging learning environment, helping each of them reach their full potential.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has three children and loves watching them learn and grow, both in school and beyond.
She is eager to start the upcoming school year, both in the classroom and as part of the Crusader Community!

Meet: Ms. Brooke Meier
Science Teacher
Brooke Meier is a native of Northern Kentucky who graduated from Villa Madonna Academy in 2019. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mount Saint Joseph University, where she played both volleyball and softball until a career-ending injury. Currently, she is pursuing her master’s degree in teaching.
In her free time, Brooke enjoys coaching volleyball and softball or spending time with her dog, Dodger. She is very excited to join the Crusader family and looks forward to working with the students at St. Henry.

Meet: Mrs. Mary Sargent
CRU 101 Teacher
Mary Sargent is a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Northern Kentucky University. She is starting her 38th year in education, having spent over 15 years as a classroom teacher and the remaining 23 years in administrative roles.
Mrs. Sargent is excited to teach the CRU101 Freshmen Foundation class. When she is not teaching, she volunteers with Pet Partners of Greater Cincinnati.

Meet: Mrs. Pamela Threlkeld
IT Assistant, Drees Homes Auditorium Manager, Broadcasting Teacher
Pamela Threlkeld is eager to start her work in theater, collaborate with the IT team, and engage with students in a broadcasting class. She holds degrees in Computer Information Systems, Microprogramming, Computer Programming, and Information Management and Design. With 15 years of experience in the IT field, she has held various roles in the corporate sector and served as an IT Director in the government sector.
Before becoming a stay-at-home mother of two, Pamela also worked on her family’s childhood farm, Cross Creek Farms. In her free time, she enjoys a variety of crafts and hobbies, including knitting, crocheting, making bobbin lace, lucet, nalbinding, proggy, Swedish weaving, quilling, soap making, sewing, and gardening.

Meet: Ms. Alexis Van Dusen
English Teacher
Alexis VanDusen is beginning her first year as a full-time English teacher at SHDHS. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in English for Secondary Teachers from Western Kentucky University in 2022.
After graduating, Ms. VanDusen spent a year working as a long-term substitute teacher. She then returned to school to earn her Master of Arts in Creative Writing from University College Dublin while living in Dublin, Ireland.
In her free time, Ms. VanDusen enjoys writing poetry, painting, and playing the violin.

Meet: Mrs. MacKenzie Vieth
Math Teacher
MacKenzie Vieth has always been passionate about teaching, especially in mathematics. She is excited to join the staff at Saint Henry District High School. This coming November, she will celebrate her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Jack. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring Cincinnati, and training for the Flying Pig Half Marathon.

Religion Teacher
Emily Whalen is a proud alumna of St. Henry District High School and is thrilled to return to her alma mater as a teacher! She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theology and her Master of Education from Xavier University. This year, she is excited to teach religion classes for freshmen and sophomores.

Science Teacher
Rachel Young is thrilled to become a part of the SHDHS community as a new biology teacher. She graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a degree in biology and has developed a strong passion for exploring the integration of faith and science. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and baking bread.
