8th graders - Schedule your shadow visit
One of the best ways to learn about St.Henry District High School is by visiting our campus. Through our shadowing program, 8th graders learn first-hand what a typical day for a SHDHS student is like. If you have an 8th grader or know of a friend that has an 8th grader, please click on or share this link https://shdhs.org/admissions/shadow-visit-form/ to sign up for a visit.

Crusader Check & Connect
Welcome to Crusader Check and Connect (CCC):
CCC is an extension of our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). This program checks on the well-being of our students through a multi-disciplinary approach. CCC encourages collaboration and allows transparency among teachers, students, parents, counselors, and mentors. The goal of the program is to care for and respond to our student's needs in a proactive approach and take a positive interest in the student.
At-risk students are flagged through a weekly screening process, and mentors are assigned to check on these students in order to increase their involvement in their own education. Mentors take a specific and strategic interest in at-risk students by helping the students to set goals for improvement and by acknowledging positive progress along the way.
We encourage you to use CCC to engage with your student(s) on their weekly progress and dialogue with them about their successes and challenges. It is important to have open communication among all parties involved in your student’s education and to encourage our students to dialogue with their teachers in a professional manner that will teach them to advocate for themselves in the future.
Our Technology Department has developed this application specifically for SHDHS. The CCC team is continuously making improvements to the application. Please be patient as we make these enhancements throughout the year.
For instructions on how to access CCC please click here.
Thank you,
Crusader Check and Connect Team

Academic Showcase
Freshmen - Gearing Up for Success
To help our freshmen students find success at SHDHS, Mrs. Shea has spent every Monday with the Global & Digital Citizenship classes teaching executive functioning skills. Their classroom teacher, Mr. Dressman, has graciously made time each week to work with Mrs. Shea as she brings her expertise to his class. Together they are helping the students to develop good organizational skills by mapping out due dates for upcoming assignments, monitoring progress in all of their classes, and maintaining neat and orderly binders of materials.
Professional Development
During the faculty meeting on Friday, October 1, teachers collaborated by department to develop professional needs and goals for the year. Every faculty member will complete at least 12 hours of professional development outside of school hours during the academic year. Go CRU teachers!

Crusaders of the Week
It is a pleasure to nominate Allyson Egan for Crusader of the Week for Algebra 2. Mrs. Vaillancourt notes that Allyson is a wonderful math student who always gives 110%. She has consistently been one of the top students for both Geometry and Algebra 2. Allyson is hard-working and respectful to teachers and fellow students and sets a positive example for others. Allyson's kindness and genuine personality make her a joy to have in class. Congratulations Allyson!
Mr. Fay nominates Sydney Reymond Crusader of the Week for AP Chemistry. Sydney is the kind of person who is not afraid of a challenge. After a successful year in Chemistry Honors, she took on the much bigger challenge of AP Chemistry. She demonstrates her tenacity and drives to succeed by working hard every day trying to master the concepts. When Sydney doesn't understand a topic or how to solve a problem, she seeks help from any resource available to her. Despite juggling a busy schedule with school, sports, and a part-time job, she works to accommodate her teachers' schedules when seeking help. Additionally, Sydney stands out because she maintains her sense of humor in the face of adversity. She is never afraid to relieve an awkward or tense situation by making some witty comment. Congratulations Sydney!
