Due to our faculty and many of our students participating in our SHDHS Open House on November 9, there will be a Late Start on Monday, November 10.

We are nearing the end of our 2025 Bourbon Raffle, with the drawing taking place next Wednesday, October 29. At this time, we have not yet reached our sales goal.
Please consider purchasing a ticket (or a few!)—100% of every purchase supports our operational budget, directly benefiting our outstanding educational programs and helping to keep tuition as low as possible.
Share the raffle link shdhs.org/cruraffle with your family and friends. With six winners, the odds are great!
We are offering six incredible bourbon packages—perfect for anyone who enjoys a fine glass of bourbon or collecting top-shelf bottles. And if bourbon is not your drink of choice, these make fantastic Christmas gifts!

La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica held its Induction Ceremony on October 22, 2025. Our SHDHS chapter, La Sagrada Familia, inducted twelve new members into the Spanish Honor Society:
Alejandro Peralta Gomez, Liam McCormack, Addison Collins, Madyson Lux, Kayleigh McCormack, Kaylee Ryan, Olivia McElheney, Joey Powers, Audrey Schmid, Aurelia Theissen, Samantha Torres-Guzman, Addyson Wambaja
New members participated in the initiation ceremony, led by Presidents Jackie Fernandez and Mateo Felix Chagoya and Vice President Lauren Boyle. Current members and officers also welcomed the family members of the new inductees and shared in teaching them about the club's service and activities. We are excited for this upcoming year and thrilled to have our new members join our chapter of La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica.

The Academic Team has been hard at work for a couple of months, and it has already paid off. The team put up a great showing at the St. X Invitational Quizbowl tournament on Saturday. They ended the day with a record of 6 wins and 3 losses, playing against very strong teams from all over the Tri-State area.
Based on individual statistics, Luke Jankowski ranked 3rd out of about 75 competitors! With that placement, he will likely receive a bid to Nationals again this year. And in other news, Luke also placed in the Top 30 in the State of Kentucky in Social Studies and in General Knowledge last week during KAAC's Governor's Cup pre-season tests!

Mr. Fay's Chemistry Honors students selected elements from the periodic table to research, and then they presented their findings to the class. This coincides with their study of the periodic table and properties of elements.
