Sophomores in Honors Geometry applied their knowledge of repeating patterns and triangles to create a Sierpinski Pyramid for Christmas. The final project used 1024 smaller equilateral pyramids and a dilation of four to the fifth power! The final project was over six feet high and wide.  

Our 3rd annual ASL 1 fashion show was a great hit! The students were able to show off their grammar and signing skills to their peers and guest judges (a.k.a., their teachers and counselors). Big shout-out to the kids and fellow colleagues who volunteer their precious time every year to watch the show.

Current students planning to attend SHDHS for the 2026-2027 school year will automatically be re-enrolled on January 21, 2026. Registration fees will be invoiced through your FACTS account and need to be paid through FACTS. The registration fee for the 2026-2027 school year is $200.

SHDHS is asking ALL families to complete the FACTS Financial Aid application for the 26-27 School Year
The FACTS Financial Aid application opens on January 5, 2026. We are asking that all SHDHS families complete this application regardless of need. In doing so, you will help our school receive funding to help lower the cost of education for all students. Applicants can use 2024 Tax returns and 2025 W-2's. We ask that all families submit their applications by April 1, 2026. For those families that apply and qualify for financial aid, the first round of award notifications will be made on April 30, 2026. REQUIRED WORKBOOKS AND SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS INVOICED
Some classes require students to purchase workbooks and supplementary materials. Items were available in their classrooms during the first week of school. Invoices were emailed through your FACTS account. Payment should have been made manually through your FACTS. If you have not made this payment manually, it will be added to your March 2026 tuition payment. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS 
Scholarship opportunities for current St. Henry District High School families will open on January 6. To apply, please visit https://shdhs.org/tuition-and-assistance/ and select Scholarship/Summer Work Opportunities.

From there, click the red buttons to review the available scholarships and choose those for which you qualify. Families may apply for multiple scholarships if they meet the eligibility requirements. When you select “Apply,” you will be prompted to choose scholarships based on your student’s grade level.

Please note that all scholarship applications require a completed FACTS application.

An email was sent on December 15, 2025, requesting verification of your student’s legal name for their diploma.

To ensure accuracy, we need the student’s full legal name exactly as it should appear on the diploma:

• First Name
• Middle Name
• Last Name

Please reply to the email with the requested information no later than January 5, 2026. If we do not receive a response by this date, the name on file will be used for the diploma.  Please contact the front office if you did not receive this email.

We welcome prospective students to experience a day at SHDHS by shadowing a current student. The unique experience gives them a firsthand look at our classes, the chance to meet our students, and the opportunity to immerse themselves in the daily life of a Crusader. COUNSELORS

TURNING 18

The Counseling Department has worked together with our School Resource Officer, Amy Chapman, to create a "Turning 18" presentation. The presentation will highlight the changes that occur for a person legally when they turn 18, and how to be safe and responsible adults. This presentation will be given to Juniors and Seniors the week we return to school.

JUNIOR PARENTS - INDIVIDUAL POST-SECONDARY PLANNING MEETINGS

Beginning in January and continuing through the end of March, individual Post-Secondary Planning Meetings will be offered to every junior student and their family. Your in-person conference will be scheduled for 45 minutes during the school day.

During the in-person meeting, we will discuss post-secondary options for each student to consider.  Topics will include, but are not limited to the following: 2026-2027 course requests, transcripts, standardized testing, college essays, student activities list, and letter(s) of recommendation. 

We understand it will be necessary for some juniors to miss class for this meeting. Before families schedule an appointment, students must request permission from their teacher(s) to miss part of or an entire class period. If a student has a quiz or test, if they have been frequently absent from class, or if they have a failing grade, teachers reserve the right to deny a request.

A CRUSADER KNIGHT OF GIVING PLANNING MEETING
(formerly known as The Cru Bash) 

Please join us for the kick-off planning meeting for the upcoming A Crusader Knight of Giving adult fundraising gala. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria on Wednesday, January 7, at 6:30 pm.  ALL are welcome - we need lots of help, especially with the procurement committee (silent auction, live auction, raffles, etc). The actual event will take place on March 21, 2026 at Summit Hills Country Club.
