We have had a great start to the 2026 Cru $10K Raffle! We are ahead of where we were at this time last year, but we still have a long way to go to reach our goal of 2700+ tickets sold.
This coming week is our first OOU incentive. Every household that has sold 4 or more tickets by the end of Monday, January 19, will earn OOU next Tues, January 20, Wednesday, January 21, and Thursday, January 22. A current list of students who have earned this was posted on Schoology earlier today. An updated list will be posted on Monday night. Sell! Sell! Sell!
If you have any questions about the raffle, please contact Geri Aftanski at gaftanski@shdhs.org or 859-525-5848 ext. 4.
Tickets can be purchased here. Happy selling!

Availability of Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA)Asbestos Management Plans
Dear Parents, Teachers, and Staff:
In accordance with regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC), we are required to notify parents, teachers, and other employees each year of the availability of the Asbestos Management Plan (Management Plan) and the response actions we are taking to maintain asbestos-containing materials in our school.
An updated Management Plan has been prepared for the school to ensure the proper maintenance and responses for asbestos-containing materials or suspect asbestos-containing materials. Appropriate response actions have been and will be taken to ensure the asbestos is maintained in good condition.
A periodic surveillance of the school has occurred every six months since the original inspection. Additionally, formal re-inspections were completed every three years since the original inspection. Copies of these reports are on file at the school's main office. Custodians and maintenance workers have been instructed on the health effects of asbestos and the importance of maintaining this material in good condition during their normal day-to-day activities.
No asbestos abatement activities are scheduled at this time. If you wish to review the Management Plan, a copy is located in the school office.
