We are having a record year so far! We had a record number of students who earned OOU days this week, and a record day of sales on Monday, January 19, when we sold over $8,000 worth of tickets. Let's keep this momentum going! There are still almost 4 weeks left in the campaign, and we are around 60% toward our goal of 2700 tickets sold. This number will earn a day off from school, but to have another record breaker, we will need to sell more than 2789 to beat last year's total. Every dollar of proceeds goes directly to our operating budget to support everything that SHDHS has to offer. The more we raise, the lower the inevitable tuition increase will have to be! A Crusader Knight of Giving: “Starry Night” – March 21, 2026 We are seeking exciting Live Auction items for our annual Crusader Knight of Giving: Starry Night event. Mr. Denning nominated Senior Anthony Crawford for Crusader of the Week in AP Computer Science A. "Throughout the year, Anthony has thought deeply and asked questions about class materials, seeking assistance from others and also offering to help explain when others are stuck. His skills in programming have advanced significantly over the first semester, and he is off to a strong start for the second semester, as well. His accomplishments are even more impressive given that he took a year off from programming before returning for this school year. Congratulations and good luck, BT!" Mr. Trame nominated Freshman Molly Francis for Crusader of the Week in Physical Education. "Molly Francis has performed as the quintessential Crusader in Physical Education. Molly arrives at class each day not just ready to learn and participate, but eager to perform the day's activities. Molly's performance on her student-led workout project was exemplary in every sense of the word. She displayed outstanding preparation, demonstration, execution, and enthusiasm while teaching her workout. Molly is always dependable and conscientious, incessantly ready to help or support in any way possible. Molly epitomizes our core values of CRU Faith, CRU Respect, and CRU Grit!! ATTENTION SENIORS - SIGNING DAYS Please mark your calendars for the following dates:
The Athletic and Counseling Departments will send more information about the signing days in the next few weeks. JUNIOR PARENTS - INDIVIDUAL POST-SECONDARY PLANNING MEETINGS Beginning in January and continuing through the end of March, individual Post-Secondary Planning Meetings will be offered to every junior student and their family. Your in-person conference will be scheduled for 45 minutes during the school day. During the in-person meeting, we will discuss post-secondary options for each student to consider. Topics will include, but are not limited to the following: 2026-2027 course requests, transcripts, standardized testing, college essays, student activities list, and letter(s) of recommendation. We understand it will be necessary for some juniors to miss class for this meeting. Before families schedule an appointment, students must request permission from their teacher(s) to miss part of or an entire class period. If a student has a quiz or test, if they have been frequently absent from class, or if they have a failing grade, teachers reserve the right to deny a request.
