The LaRosa’s Gamechanger Award was presented to senior Evan Parhad. Evan consistently goes above and beyond in all that he does. Whether it is serving with Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, and Student Council, excelling in the classroom, or competing on the Cross Country team. This award, created by the LaRosa Family Foundation, recognizes students who are not only strong athletes but who are also committed to making the world a better place.

We welcomed the Hebron Fire Department to campus to conduct a cardiac response simulation as part of our certification process for becoming a Heart Safe School.
A special thank you goes to Mr. Hertzenberg’s 2nd-period World History class for participating in the drill. This simulation was unannounced, requiring students to react in real time to the situation at hand. Students/teacher assessed the situation, called 911, sent a runner to the office, retrieved the AED, and began CPR until the medics arrived.
We are very proud of the way our students responded and handled the scenario. Their quick thinking and teamwork demonstrated the importance of preparation and training in emergency situations.
Thank you to our students, faculty, and staff for their participation, and a special thank you to the Hebron Fire Department for partnering with us and helping train our community.

The 2026 Junior Women’s retreat, “Daughters of the King,” allowed the girls to focus on placing their identity in Christ, understanding their belovedness, being life-giving friends, and seeing God in the storms. The girls had the opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and grow deeper in faith, friendship, and identity as beloved daughters of God.

Psychology 214 students visited the kindergarten class at Mary Queen of Heaven School to explore child development through play and observation. The experience brought classroom concepts to life while creating a fun afternoon with the little ones.

CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
|
|

Mr. Hertzenberg nominated Sophomore Brian Tuemler for Crusader of the Week in World History.
"Brian demonstrates an outstanding work ethic and takes pride in completing his work to the best of his ability. Whether working independently or as part of a group, he approaches each assignment with focus, responsibility, and a genuine desire to learn. Brian also makes meaningful contributions to our class discussions, is thoughtful in his ideas, and helps move conversations forward. Most importantly, Brian is a joy to have in class. His positive attitude, respect for others, and willingness to participate make the classroom a better place each day."
Miss Vollmer nominated Senior Brady Schira for Crusader of the Week in English IV.
"Having the same teacher for three years can be a unique challenge, but Brady has done nothing but go above and beyond in English these past three years. He is an absolute joy to have in class. You can always count on him to be prepared, whether that's having a notebook out ready to take notes, completing his tasks without complaint, or asking clarifying questions to ensure he does his best on every assignment. He is polite, conscientious, and respectful, even at the end of the day. He has grown in academic prowess and resilience over the past three years, and I know I can depend on him to help out with whatever task needs to be done. I know these traits will carry him to success wherever life takes him next. Congrats, Brady! It's a blessing to have you as a student!"

9th & 10th GRADE PSAT
All freshmen and sophomores will be taking the PSAT this month. Sophomores will test first with the PSAT-10, on Tuesday, March 24. Freshmen will take the PSAT-8/9 on Wednesday, March 25. On both days, the test will begin at 7:45 am, and students will return to 4th period after testing. There is nothing to be done for registration; it has already been completed.
The PSAT is a practice for the SAT. This will give all students a chance to practice a standardized test and receive feedback on their performance and how they can prepare for a college admissions test.
You may have heard that the state of Kentucky has switched from being an ACT state to giving the SAT statewide starting this year. The Diocese of Covington will also switch to the SAT for the 2026-2027 school year. Current sophomores will take another PSAT in October as a final practice for the SAT next March. Current freshmen will take another PSAT next March.
Keep in mind that this is just a practice and can be a great indicator of current skills. In this setting, it is a low-stakes test we use to track their progress throughout high school (beyond the practice they get from it).
For more information about the PSAT, go to the following links:

AI: The Dangers of an Increasingly Digital World
Presented by: Dr. Mandy Sanchez - Director of Programming at Culture Reframed
Sponsored by the Diocese of Covington Offices of Safe Environment and Catholic Schools. Click here for a PDF flyer with additional details about the event.
Wednesday, March 25, 2026 - 7:00 PM (doors open at 600 PM)
Location: Diocese of Covington Curia - Bishop Howard Memorial Hall
All (18+) are welcome to attend
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into our children’s daily lives through educational tools, chatbots, smart toys, and personal digital content. While AI offers significant opportunities for learning and engagement, it also presents unique safety and developmental challenges. Ensuring children’s AI safety requires a multi-layered approach that involves parents, educators, policy makers, and technology designers. Topics will include risks, warning signs of harm, and practical strategies for introducing age-appropriate AI. Dr. Sanchez will also speak about pornography, social media, and overall safety for your child in an increasingly dangerous digital world.
A must-see presentation for anyone who cares about children and the vulnerable in our world today.
Preregistration preferred but not required!
