Senior Leah Creed led another successful Dragonfly Night to raise funds for the Dragonfly Foundation on Thursday, March 12. 60 students attended and ate pizza, played pickleball, volleyball, and a variety of games.

The Junior Men's retreat was a day filled with meditative prayer, games, small-group discussions, and witness talks. The men were called to strive "to the heights" as Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati lived.

CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
|
|

Mr. Wyatt nominated Junior Nikos Carter for Crusader of the Week in Advanced Band.
"Nikos works hard to be prepared for rehearsals and to play his part(s) correctly. He is confident in asking questions or for clarification when necessary. Each day, he is 100% engaged and helpful to all those around him. He is an asset to the band and a gift to the Crusader family. Congratulations, Nikos!"
Mrs. Coronado nominated Junior Audrey Schmid for Crusader of the Week in Spanish 3 Honors.
"It can be challenging to take those first steps when learning a second language, but from your very first days in Spanish 1, I could see your strong academic ability, and over time, you've shown me just how much you've grown and matured. It has truly been a joy to teach you again, now as a junior. Thank you for bringing so much happiness into the classroom and for showing such genuine excitement to learn more each day. Your understanding of Spanish is truly impressive. ¡Muy bien, Yolanda!"

SERVICE ACADEMY DAY
Congressman Massie will be hosting his annual U.S. Service Academy Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Cincinnati Airport Marriott in Hebron, Kentucky.
This event offers students, parents, and high school counselors information about the exceptional educational opportunities available at our country's most respected institutions of higher learning - the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
Congressman Massie will be in attendance along with Representatives from each of the U.S. Service Academies, who will be available to answer questions and provide information.
To RSVP or ask any questions, please email Austin.Snell@mail.house.gov.
9th & 10th GRADE PSAT
All freshmen and sophomores will be taking the PSAT this month. Sophomores will test first with the PSAT-10 on Tuesday, March 24. Freshmen will take the PSAT-8/9 on Wednesday, March 25. On both days, the test will begin at 7:45 am, and students will return to 4th period after testing. There is nothing to be done for registration; it has already been completed.
The PSAT is a practice for the SAT. This will give all students a chance to practice a standardized test and receive feedback on their performance and how they can prepare for a college admissions test.
You may have heard that the state of Kentucky has switched from being an ACT state to giving the SAT statewide starting this year. The Diocese of Covington will also switch to the SAT for the 2026-2027 school year. Current sophomores will take another PSAT in October as a final practice for the SAT next March. Current freshmen will take another PSAT next March.
Keep in mind that this is just a practice and can be a great indicator of current skills. In this setting, it is a low-stakes test we use to track their progress throughout high school (beyond the practice they get from it).
For more information about the PSAT, go to the following links:

AI: The Dangers of an Increasingly Digital World
Presented by: Dr. Mandy Sanchez - Director of Programming at Culture Reframed
Sponsored by the Diocese of Covington Offices of Safe Environment and Catholic Schools. Click here for a PDF flyer with additional details about the event.
Wednesday, March 25, 2026 - 7:00 pm (doors open at 600 PM)
Location: Diocese of Covington Curia - Bishop Howard Memorial Hall
All (18+) are welcome to attend
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into our children's daily lives through educational tools, chatbots, smart toys, and personal digital content. While AI offers significant opportunities for learning and engagement, it also presents unique safety and developmental challenges. Ensuring children's AI safety requires a multi-layered approach that involves parents, educators, policy makers, and technology designers. Topics will include risks, warning signs of harm, and practical strategies for introducing age-appropriate AI. Dr. Sanchez will also speak about pornography, social media, and overall safety for your child in an increasingly dangerous digital world.
A must-see presentation for anyone who cares about children and the vulnerable in our world today.
Preregistration preferred but not required!
