Congratulations to the new members of the National Honor Society who were inducted on Tuesday night. They are Anna Bain, Molly Blackburn, Reegan Conley, Chris Crawford, Anthony Haselwood, Luke Jankowski, Sally Jones, Liam McCormack, Cooper McIntire, Kate Mueller, Penelope Ogonek, Bella O'Neill, Brooke Pagnotto, Brynlee Rice, Kaylee Ryan, Natalie Stow, Samantha Torres-Guzman, Addyson Wambaja, Ava Waymeyer, Carson Wulfeck, and Grace Young.
Our speaker was Emily Cahill Lusk, Advancement Director for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Northern Kentucky. She asked students what their " Why? " is for why they volunteer and give of themselves. She talked about her grandfather, Bill Miller, who was raised at the Diocesan Catholic Children's Home by volunteers and how he inspired her.
Congratulations to all of our new members!

The Science National Honor Society inducted new members on Monday, April 13. Five juniors and twelve sophomores were welcomed into the ranks of SHDHS students who are passionate about scientific study and have achieved academic excellence in that endeavor. Thank you to Nyah Hollman (Class of 2019), who was invited to be the guest speaker. She encouraged SNHS members in their pursuit of scientific knowledge and gave some practical advice regarding college plans.
Congratulations to the new members: Elijah Duff, Saleena Egan, Spencer Gearding, Mckenna Hartwig, Mitchell Jump, Penelope Ogonek, Brooklyn Pagnotto, Charles Ramsey, Brynlee Rice, Kaylee Ryan, Rylee Schmidt, Natalie Stow, Ava Vogt, Ava Waymeyer, Carson Wulfeck, Grace Young, and William Young

CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
|
|
Week of March 30, 2026 (There was no newsletter that week due to Spring Break)

Mrs. Hartwig nominated Freshman Ben Harvey for Crusader of the Week in English I.
"Ben has a great work ethic and comes to class every day prepared and willing to put forth 100% effort. He often helps his peers better understand the material. But what really stands out is his personality! He knows exactly when to bring humor to 6th period English and when it’s time to get focused and serious. He was a great sport during our Romeo and Juliet unit—always volunteering to read and even stepping in as Juliet when needed! Ben’s enthusiasm, maturity, and leadership make him a valuable member of the St. Henry community! Way to go, Ben!"
Mrs. Kaiser-Munday nominated Senior Elliot Flick for Crusader of the Week in AP Government.
"Elliot asks insightful questions, works hard at her learning, and is active in her community to help others. She wants to learn more, not just to ace the exam on May 5th, but also to be able to make a positive impact on the people she cares about. Elliot is engaging, fun, and a student everyone wants to have in class! Thank you, Elliot, for being an AP Gov All Star!"
Week of April 13, 2026

Mrs. Heinrich nominated Freshman Belle Geisen for Crusader of the Week in Chamber Choir.
"If you have been blessed enough to share a class or club setting with Belle, you would not be surprised to hear her name called for Crusader of the Week. Belle is a genuine, kind, talented, and intelligent young woman who has a welcoming spirit about her with everyone she meets. I do not believe I have ever witnessed Belle frowning or having any expression other than a sincere smile on her face. She lights up the room as she enters the class, and she is such a pleasure to work with both on and off the stage. Congratulations, Belle, and I am so grateful to have had you as a student."
Mrs. Hasken nominated Sophomore Mallory Collins for Crusader of the Week in Spanish 2 Honors.
"While all of the Spanish 2 Honors students have been wonderful this year, one student has stood out for her enthusiasm and dedication to Spanish, and that is Mallory Collins. Mallory comes to class excited to learn every day and does a great job applying her Spanish knowledge to real life. She hosted an exchange student from Spain this year and has also done a phenomenal job at leading our Spanish Club as an officer. She always volunteers to help with club events, to participate and help others in class, and she works hard to possess a deeper comprehension and appreciation of the language and culture. Thank you for your positivity and effort, and congratulations, Mallory!"
