Congratulations to the following Spanish students from SHDHS who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2026 National Spanish Examinations.

Campus ministry led another beautiful celebration of our annual May Crowning service in SHDHS's gorgeous Mary Grotto. Mrs. Heinrich led us in prayerful song, Father Hennigen guided the service, and campus ministry students assisted throughout the celebration. A special highlight was senior Taylor Hunt crowning Mary, honoring her as Queen of Heaven. Students and staff had the chance to bring forward flowers with personal intentions, asking for Mary’s intercession and guidance. The service was a meaningful reminder of the importance of Mary's fiat and to look for her wonderful guiding presence in our lives. Mama Mary, Pray for us!

This year in Speech and Communication, our seniors learned how to communicate with confidence, authenticity, and purpose. One of the highlights of the semester was our mock job interview unit, where students researched companies and participated in simulated interviews that reflected real-world experiences.
To culminate the year, students created and presented a TED Talk to the student body centered around the idea of labels and their impact. After polling students throughout the school, the seniors used the data, personal reflection, and research to create a presentation.
This class has been filled with creativity and risk-taking. Whether we were giving impromptu speeches, analyzing communication in everyday life, or preparing for major presentations, these students brought energy and personality into the classroom. It has truly been a joy to learn alongside them.

The SHDHS Chess Club is thrilled to share that they wrapped up the second annual Chess Tournament 2026! The excitement reached its peak with the final matches. Congratulations to:
- 1st place Henry Berganza Rosales
- 2nd place Dominic DiBari
- 3rd place Matthew Schneidt
- 4th place Elijah Duff
Everyone received Amazon gift cards. Mrs. Coronado, the club moderator says "You guys did awesome! Thanks to all who participated. We can't wait to see you next year!"

CLASS OF 2027 FAMILIES - SUMMER WORKSHOPS
The SHDHS Counseling and English Departments will be hosting a two-day college application workshop. Most college applications officially open on August 1st, and these workshops will put St. Henry seniors ahead of schedule.
*Please note these events are optional. Also, seniors are not required to attend both days, but we recommend it if possible.
We understand some 26-27 seniors will be unable to attend due to previously scheduled commitments. If a senior is not able to attend, we will give an overview of the information covered during the workshops in the first week of school when the counselors present in English classes and at the Senior Parent Night on Thursday, August 27, 2026. However, seniors who attend the workshop will find it beneficial, as it will give them a head start on the college application process.
