The Math program is designed to enhance math skills and remediate basic math concepts to better position students for the school year. Chromebooks Purchase/Transfer - New Students
All incoming new students are required to have a Chromebook. Parents will have the option to purchase or transfer a pre-owned device as long as it operates on Chrome O/S. A device can be purchased from SHDHS for $550, which includes a protective case and insurance covered for the entirety of your student’s time at SHDHS.
Families are allowed to bring their own Chromebook, however, the device needs to be enrolled under our organization. The cost for transferring a pre-owned Chromebook is $125. Transferred devices will not be covered under SHDHS Insurance.

Technology Responsible Use Policy
All parents and students are required to read and submit an electronic confirmation for the SHDHS Technology Responsible Use Policy. To access the form please log into the portal.
Current Families RE-ENROLL for the 2022-2023 School Year
The school year is rapidly going by with only 31 school days left, and we are busy making plans for 2022/2023. The counselors have met with all the current students and have put in their requested schedules. Parents will receive their students' schedules in May and will be required to approve them electronically. The re-enrollment process must be complete before your student will have a schedule for you to approve. Please re-enroll now. If your son or daughter is not returning for the 2022-2023 school year please email Toni Lehan, at [email protected]. For budget purposes and to accommodate class schedules, please re-enroll by April 15.

SHDHS Math Placement Test
The SHDHS Math Placement Test is designed for students who wish to take Algebra II Honors as incoming freshmen. The test will be offered on Saturday, April 30 from 8-9 am. Ellie Quinn, a member of the SHDHS Go Pantry Junior Ambassador Council was the spotlight of the week at Go Pantry.
The Cru Cafe welcomed "Spring Fever" with lemonade, sweet tea, and Arnold Palmers. Each drink is severed with fresh mint and lemon slices. The Cru Cafe will be offering a sparkling blue Gatorade drink next week, April 8th as we celebrate Autism Awareness.

Academic Showcase
The STEM and STEM Honors students have been at it again! Our second project is now complete. Ask your students who Rube Goldberg was, what a Rube Goldberg Machine is, and why we build them in science class. Please enjoy these pictures of each of our engineering teams and their Rube Goldberg Machine (RGM). Next week the students will be voting for 4 winners for this project: Most Complex, Most Unique, Most Creative, and Best Video/Editing. Check with your student to see if they are one of the finalists! The winners will be announced next week.
The AP Human Geography Freshmen classes just finished their March Madness Rostow Cup finals this week. They compared the GDP, Life Expectancy, Literacy rates, and other data of countries around the world. Singapore came out as the winner! Congratulations, Team 3 (Nathan Francis, Sam Baker, and Kaitlyn Whaley)!

SHDHS GIRLS VOLLEYBALL & BOYS BASKETBALL 29TH ANNUAL GOLF SCRAMBLE!
Current Families, Alumni, and Friends are invited on Saturday, May 14, to join us for the girls' volleyball and boys' basketball annual golf scramble. This year’s event will be held at Lassing Pointe Golf Course, and it will be a four-person scramble for all participants. The cost is $100 per player which includes 18 holes, cart rental, three drink tickets, and a late lunch that will be provided on the turn. We are also soliciting hole sponsorships for each hole. The hole sponsorships are $100, which will include signage to advertise your business, which will be placed on the tee of the hole you are sponsoring.

Crusaders of the Week
Crusader of the Week for AP Art goes to Grace Koch. Grace has been nominated by Mrs. VonHandorf for her perseverance, determination, and commitment to growth. Grace has improved immensely in not only her technical application of media but also her creativity. She sets a great example for her classmates as she is not afraid to take risks, experiment, and think outside the box. She is fun to be around, has a fun personality, and has a good attitude. Way to rock, Grace!
Congratulations to Ella Rolfsen for being nominated for Crusader of the Week for Spanish 3 Honors. Ella always enthusiastically participates in class, leading discussions and helping her peers. FEC News
TEACHER / STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK: The FEC is planning Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week which is the week of May 2-6. We are hoping to provide our awesome teachers/staff with something special each day of that week. Some initial ideas are a hot lunch, a breakfast/coffee bar, a sweets/treat bar, a healthy snack day/bar, and maybe a raffle at the end of the week.
If anyone owns a business and would like to sponsor one of these ideas or if there are any families that would like to sponsor a day, please let us know by April 8. Drees Homes Auditorium
The SHDHS Drama Department is pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for its production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast”. Performances are on April 1 at 7:30 pm, April 2 at 7:30 pm, and April 3 at 2:00 pm. The tickets can be purchased online via the SHDHS Theater website. Tickets will be sold at the door if seats are still available for a particular performance.
Seating is by General Admission, so seats will not be selected at the time of purchase. Due to credit card processing fees, an additional charge of $.50 per ticket will be assessed for online purchases, bringing the cost to $12.50 for adults and $8.50 for students.

After a two-year delay, brought on by Covid restrictions, SHDHS is excited to once again celebrate our Hall of Fame members with an in-person ceremony. Please join us on Sunday, April 10, 2022, when we will honor the newest members of the SHDHS Hall of Fame. The event begins at 2:00 pm in the beautiful Drees Homes Auditorium, immediately followed by a reception in the Riegler Family Alumni Gallery, Wilson Family Art Gallery, and Betty Dusing Black Box. Tickets to attend this year’s event are $15.00 each and can be purchased by clicking here. Crusaders en Blanc's planning is in full swing. Student Council thanks all the parents for the joyful spirit that each is bringing to this. Crusaders en Blanc's celebration will commence at 6:00 pm. All seniors are asked to arrive at Saint Henry District High School's main campus by 5:30 pm. Parents are welcome to come dressed in white but it is not a requirement. Mark Setters will be the photographer for the evening and he will have a photo area set up in the front lobby. You are all welcome to take advantage of the photo opportunity along with your senior student. All pictures will be available to the senior parents by the end of the school year through a shared site. All senior students should turn in the RSVP card by April 4th; in the case of a misplaced card, please have the student write his/ her name on a piece of paper with the intention of attending or not at the front desk.
