Dear Crusader Family & Friends,
On Friday, November 10th, Saint Henry District High School will honor our local military veterans for Veterans Day 2023. This is an invitation to veterans who are our students and staff's family members or friends. Our celebration will start at 1:45 pm in the auditorium.
This year, SHDHS is excited to host our guest speaker: City of Erlanger Mayor – Jessica Fette. We thank Mrs. Fette for her time and generosity in addressing our school family.
To make this event a success, we would like to have the names of veterans who would like to attend this celebration. A veteran is any military personnel who has or is currently serving our country in any Armed Forces branch.
Saint Henry District High School is very excited about this event as our students wish to acknowledge the devotion and sacrifice our men and women have given to our country. Please contact Mr. Wyatt ([email protected]) to make a reservation with the following
information:
- Name of Veteran
- Branch of the Military

Crusaders of the Week
Mrs. Heinrich nominates Freshman Addyson Wambaja as Chorus' Crusader of the Week.
"Addyson is a student that goes above and beyond in her classwork. Not only does she have the aptitude to understand difficult concepts in music theory, but she also shows genuine joy in the craft of music. She is a wonderful student willing to always learn and grow from her mistakes, and is a great addition to our choir."
Ms. Cruz nominates sophomore Leah Shields as American Sign Language's Crusader of the Week."
"Recently, Ms. Craddock visited me during Flex about a late sophomore transfer to ASL. While Ms. Craddock spoke with me, Leah showed our new student a few signs and discussed what we were working on. I thought this not only showed Leah's passion for learning ASL but also her kindness in sharing her knowledge with someone new!"

Mental Health Awareness Week
Next week, 10/ 1-10/ 7 is Mental Health Awareness Week! "Globally, it is estimated that 1 in 7 (14%) 10–19 year-olds experience mental health conditions, yet these remain largely unrecognized and untreated." (WHO, 2021) It is necessary to be proactive regarding mental health by taking a holistic approach to self-care. This means caring for our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. If your student struggles with mental health, seeing their school counselor is a great place to start!
