CRUSADER OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Tobergte nominates Freshman Caleb Brockman for Crusader of the Week for Religion 1.
"Caleb is responsible with his assignments and studies in religion class. He is quick to advocate for himself and others as he seeks clarity on topics presented in class. More importantly, Caleb lives his Catholic faith with courage and conviction. He readily participates in prayer, whether responding or leading. Caleb's love of Christ and the Church, his dedication and work ethic as a student, and the kindness and respect he exhibits to classmates and faculty all witness his qualification for being named Religion 1's Crusader of the Week. Congratulations, Caleb. Keep being a great student and the face of Christ and His Catholic Church to your fellow Crusaders at SHDHS!"
Mr. Faust nominates Sophomore Jake Montgomery for Crusader of the Week for Principles of Business.
"It is with great pleasure to recommend Jake Montgomery. Jake is a fine student who does his best, uses his time wisely, and is usually the first to participate in class discussions. He is well-organized and does not hesitate to ask questions when the subject is unclear. Also, I can always count on Jake to answer my golf questions. Congratulations, Jake!"
Mrs. Ryan and Mrs. Shea nominate Freshman Alexis Fassbender for Crusader of the Week for AAIMS.
"Alexis is a kind and diligent student who consistently demonstrates an unwavering commitment to her academic success. With an unparalleled work ethic, Alexis balances competitive golf and swimming with her studies. This past weekend, she recently placed 3rd in Freestyle and 4th in Backstroke in the Regionals. She consistently completes assignments and engages constructively with peers and teachers. Alexis exhibits time management skills, organizational skills, and adaptability. Her dedication is the cornerstone for attaining her goals, putting her on a trajectory toward much success in the years to come. We are proud to recognize Alexis for meeting the demands of competitive swimming and her academic pursuits!"

Class of 2028
Dear parents of incoming freshmen students.
Please review the placement tests for your student and the summer enhancement programs available.
Spanish Placement Test
This test is for incoming freshmen students interested in bypassing Spanish 1 and going straight to Spanish 2/ 2 Honors. For motivated students who have had several years of Spanish instruction or Spanish at home and have already learned the basic concepts of greetings, family and home, food and beverages, school and classroom vocabulary, and present tense conjugations. Also, for those students not taking the placement test but who are motivated and studious, please consider signing up for Spanish 1 Honors. Spanish 1 Honors will cover more material in-depth faster and will have less review of the basic concepts that may have already been taught at the grade school level. If you have any additional questions, please contact Mrs. Elizabeth Hasken at [email protected].
Math Placement Test
This Math Placement Test is for incoming freshmen interested in taking Algebra II Honors as a freshman. Students registering for Algebra I or Algebra I Honors as freshmen do not need to take this placement exam. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tiffany Reding at [email protected].
For more information about SHDHS Freshman Math Courses, click here.
